Machinery operators and drivers were the big winners in the National Skills Commission’s August Internet Vacancy Index reporting for Tasmania. Ads in this category rose by 58 per cent in the month, with other good rises reported for labourers, managers, and clerical and administrative workers.
Job ads declined strongly in August 2020 for community and personal services workers, according to the National Skills Commission.
The most Tasmanian roles available on one online job site reported by the Mercury on 13 October 2020 were in healthcare and nursing, trades and construction, hospitality and catering, and teaching.
